‘Sleepy Hollow’ S4 finale advance review: Devil may care

Devil

Sleepy Heads, I screened the epic ‘Sleepy Hollow’ Season 4 finale, “Freedom” and I LOVE it. As always, I’m going to keep this spoiler free so you can enjoy being happily surprised throughout the episode. I just want to share my excitement with you all and drop some teasers. Hopefully there will be a lot of fans tuning into the finale live. It would be amazing if we could set record high ratings for this spectacular season. Start spreading the word!

Earlier this week, we previewed “Freedom” and asked a lot of questions (ICYMI, check out the article HERE). Albert Kim was right. There are very satisfying, surprising and exciting answers to most of those queries. We get closure, gain new insights, and are given a taste of what challenges Team Witness might face in the future. You definitely will not be disappointed and will surely want another season…And you’ll want it right now.

M. Raven Metzner and the Sleepy Writers have crafted a wonderful and climactic conclusion to this brilliant season. Russell Fine’s direction is stunning. There is some stellar CGI work that looks seamless. The episode is magnificent start to finish. This is one of ‘Sleepy Hollow’s’ finest hours and every bit of it is so perfectly executed.

Here are some things you’ll be thrilled to see in the finale:

  • Ichabod and Henry share intense father/son moments.
  • A deal is made with the Devil. Eek!
  • Awesome twistory featuring Benjamin Banneker, George Washington and the Vault.
  • Ajax!
  • Elaboration on Witnesses’ bond and their Eternal Soul.
  • An epic showdown between Team Witness and the Four Horsemen.
  • We learn more about Jobe.
  • There’s a ‘Hamilton’-esque moment.
  • Jenny is badass, as always.
  • There is a very extra special moment for Ichabod Crane.
  • We see a new monster.
  • There are sweet Lara/Molly and Diana scenes.
  • Malcolm makes his boldest move yet.
  • Excellent use of Classic Rock, which is very reminiscent of CW’s ‘Supernatural,’ as well as the first season of ‘Sleepy Hollow.’

What are you most excited to see? Do you have any predictions or fears? Share your thoughts below!

‘Sleepy Hollow’s’ Season 4 finale, “Freedom,” airs Friday at 9 p.m. on FOX.
