What would you do if you found out your life is supposed to be a fairytale? ABC’s must see drama, “Once Upon A Time,” answers that question and then some. The executive producers and writers of “Lost,” Edward Kitsis and Adam Horowitz, have created a new series full of adventure, magic, romance, and mystery.

Emma Swan’s (“House’s” Jennifer Morrison) life changes when Henry (Jared Gilmore), the son she gave away ten years ago, suddenly surfaces with a storybook and a prophecy. Twenty-eight years ago an Evil Queen (“24’s” Lana Parrilla) cast a spell which trapped fairytale characters in a small New England town, leaving them frozen in present time with no memory of their fanciful pasts and no way out. Henry reveals to Emma that, as the daughter of Snow White (“Big Love’s” Ginnifer Goodwin) and Prince Charming (“Thor’s”Josh Dallas), she is the only one who can break the curse. Adding to the suspense is Henry’s conviction that Regina, his adoptive mother, is the Evil Queen who now threatens Emma for interfering with her affairs.

Flashbacks reveal the truth, providing a glimpse into their enthralling past full of happiness and wonder in the Enchanted Forest, which contrasts the harsh reality these iconic characters face upon discovering how the lives of their modern-day doppelgangers have intertwined in secluded Storybrooke.

Viewers are destined to be in for a very exciting ride on this epic journey of good vs. evil and fantasy vs. reality. Watch the trailer here to see what is in store when “Once Upon A Time” premieres this Sunday October 23 at 8pm on ABC.
