Alas, Kevin embarks on his final mission of the season to find yet another Righteous soul and when the episode ends you will definitely want another season…NOW.
“The Right Thing” is a phenomenal episode from start to finish. We’ve gotten used to Yvette and Kevin’s shtick. However, this time around things are a little different. This Warrior of God has been doing her job right because Kevin has grown as a human being. He has become empathetic and aware, which means he’s been building up that spiritual mojo. When Yvette felt down, Kevin had enough faith for the both of them.
I have really grown to love and respect their relationship, partnership and friendship. Yvette and Kevin truly work as a team and get the job done together. As Yvette’s powers dwindle, she feels like a failure. She’s supposed to protect her Righteous One. What good is she if she can’t save him from harm? With Dave “dead” (I’m not going to believe he’s gone for good…call it denial if you want), she needs a new helping hand. Cue Cindy!
‘Saturday Night Live’s’ Leslie Jones brings it in her guest appearance on the show. As a fellow fan, we live vicariously through her and are happy to see her be a part of Team Kevin. Entertainment Weekly‘s sneak peek of her performance provides a taste of her intensity.

Although her screen time isn’t as much as fans hope for, it is still a miracle in itself that the super busy Ms. Jones had a chance to swoop in for a day before heading off to cover the Olympics. First she championed Team Kevin and then she went off to cheer on Team USA. Both cheers are equally enthusiastic and electric.
Of course, ‘Kevin Probably’ can’t be all fun and games. The season finale elicits guttural laughter and then reduces you to tears. Jason Ritter delivers very moving monologues that will give you goosebumps. If he doesn’t receive a nomination next awards season, then all the various academy and association members need to check themselves. The entire cast brings all the feels. The ladies especially have stand-out performances. Have tissues on hand.
Even in the midst of his latest whirl-wind adventure with the subject of his Righteousness, Kevin finds himself experiencing something new. Guest star Currie Graham delivers a memorable performance as Barry, the stranger who wants to “honor his deceased uncle’s burial wishes.” Naturally, Kevin helps him out and chaos ensues. As usual, our reluctant hero finds himself torn between his duty and his loved ones.
Things get intense when Kevin questions “the right thing” to do. Should he date Kristin? Should he tell Amy and Reese the truth about the mysterious ghost-like figure that appeared on their security footage? Should he let Yvette go?
Like all spectacular season finales, ‘Kevin (Probably) Saves the World’ gives us answers, raises questions and kicks things up a notch with a killer cliffhanger that takes this magical story to a whole new level.
