‘Timeless’S1 Ep 13 preview: Wyatt and Rufus embark on their own mission in ‘Karma Chameleon’

“Timeless” hasn’t missed a step all season long. Every episode has been sensational! Each week, more and more new viewers are following in love with this phenomenal show. We’ve seen Lucy, Wyatt and Rufus chase Garcia Flynn through pivotal moments in the past. With each adventure, Flynn sets out to stop Rittenhouse and the Time Team tries to prevent him from cataclysmically altering history as we know it. After months of doing Connor Mason’s bidding, Wyatt has decided to reshape his tragic personal history.

Last week’s gripping and immensely illuminating episode, “The Murder of Jesse James,” was booked by huge moments for Wyatt. The episode opened with him confronting his wife’s murderer (whose name he received from Flynn).  This man is a merciless killer who taunts Wyatt. The kind of bad guy the world would probably be better without. At the end of the episode, Wyatt reaches out to Rufus. He wants to stop this malicious murderer before he kills anyone of his victims in the past. Yes, he knows they aren’t supposed to alter history, but Wyatt believes this one exception will be okay. All he wants is to save his beloved Jessica’s life.

As this heart-pounding promo, NBC’s official description and episode images (below) reveal, Wyatt and Rufus will steal the Lifeboat and travel back to 1983 (the year before Rufus was born, so they aren’t breaking any of the show’s time travel rules) in hopes of stopping this killer before he’s even born. Will their plan prevail? We’re also curious to discover what Emma Whitmore (Annie Wersching)  knows about Rittenhouse. What other horrible things do they have planned?  How many secrets will she reveal to Flynn? What does Anthony want with Lucy? Can he be trusted?

Here’s a first look at the next episode of “Timeless,” airing Monday night at 10 p.m. on NBC.

WYATT AND RUFUS GO ROGUE AND TRAVEL BACK TO THE 1980’S IN A DESPERATE ATTEMPT TO SAVE JESSICA’S LIFE. MEANWHILE LUCY HAS A DISTURBING MEETING WITH ANTHONY BRUHL. Wyatt (Matt Lanter) convinces Rufus (Malcolm Barrett) to steal the Lifeboat for an unauthorized mission to prevent Wyatt’s wife’s killer from ever being born. Lucy (Abigail Spencer) must cover for them in the present, as Agent Christopher (Sakina Jaffrey) discovers the ship is missing and Anthony Bruhl (guest star Matt Frewer) makes an alarming confession. Also starring Goran Višnjic, Paterson Joseph and Claudia Doumit. Guest starring John Getz, Annie Wersching, Drew Roy, Amanda Brooks and Colin Lawrence.
